Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Tajikistan, Aymyrat Gochmyradov, met with Mukhiddin Nuriddin Davlatali, Rector of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, and Professor. This was reported by the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Dushanbe.

During the conversation, the parties noted the high level of Turkmen-Tajik relations, which, thanks to the attention and efforts of the two heads of state, are steadily developing in all areas. Particular attention was paid to cooperation in education, academic exchanges, and interaction between higher education institutions of the two countries.

The meeting participants emphasized the importance of existing cooperation agreements between specialized medical universities of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan and expressed interest in further expanding their partnerships.

Following the meeting, an awards ceremony was held for university students who won prizes in the IV International Internet Biology Olympiad among students of higher education institutions. The Olympiad was held on November 20, 2025, at the Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan.

Thirty-five students from the Tajik university won prizes in the Olympiad, 12 of whom were awarded medals and 23 received certificates.

The university rector was presented with a copy of the book "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan" by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, published in Tajik.
